Preparing for shipments

So I've received my 200 author copies in the mail, and now it's on to signing them, packing them, and sending them out on January 15th. It's a weird, mixed feeling of anticipation, accomplishment and dread. Is my book ready for the world? I know I've done everything I could, and my publisher also gave a helping hand, editing and correcting, but still doubts remain. This story, and the universe in which it exists, has been with me for over a decade now and feels very personal. I've lived with these characters for years, have loved them for years. I guess my biggest fear is that readers won't be able to connect to them. Of course, I hope they will. But that remains to be seen. Right now, all I can do is dive deeper into my book promotion via social media and put together my book boxes with all the little extras. One is even on its way to Greece to take part in a competition...so exciting ;)
